Bali is set to become home to Indonesia’s largest international marina, capable of accommodating 180 yachts, including 50 superyachts. Located on a reclaimed island in Benoa, just 15 minutes from the airport, this marina is set to be a major addition to Bali’s luxury tourism infrastructure.
The island, which is clearly visible from planes during takeoff and landing near Benoa, will begin receiving yachts next year, with the full opening scheduled for mid-2026.
Ulf Becklund, the head of Marina Development Indonesia, stated that Indonesia deserves a marina of this caliber, as it is poised to become the new global yachting hub. The country’s unique location—protected from hurricanes and typhoons, along with its 17,000 islands, vibrant natural environment, and year-round favorable weather—makes it an ideal destination for maritime tourism.
The project is being developed by a consortium of companies, including Sweden’s SF Marina and Italy’s Plus Marine, aiming to create a world-class facility for yachting enthusiasts worldwide.
